Australian birds and Rotary Seminar

Well, I have been spending a lot of time on campus with classes and homework. Some days I have a few hours between class so I usually do some homework, get on the computer, drink coffee, or walk around the campus. This week I decided to take my camera to campus and take some pictures of some of the many birds I see everyday. I know what your thinking: Morgan, where are the pictures of the kangaroo's and koala's? Truth of the matter is that I still have not seen either one, but hope to soon. Before I came to Australia, I thought I would see kangaroo's jumping around the grass and koala's hanging in the trees; but that was just my stereotypical mind. In reality, most of the kangaroo's and koala's live in the outback (country) and are not around city areas. Anyway, most of the pictures below were taken near the UQ lakes on campus. Enjoy the pictures.

Also, this past weekend I had the opportunity to attend a Rotary seminar for all Rotary Ambassadorial and Peace Scholars studying in Brisbane. We learned a little bit more about Rotary and were also able to meet many other scholars from all over the world. The Peace Scholars, who are also funded through Rotary, study Masters level courses in International Relations, Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. The event was a lot of fun and I meet some really great people.
